4 Seasons Agriculture is a family owned business spanning three generations, based centrally in Foxton, Manawatu. Over 30 years of industry experience has taught us the importance of high quality equipment in Agriculture – the backbone of our nation’s economy. This has helped us keep in touch with the real needs of farmers andcontractors alike – both locally and throughout New Zealand.

We understand that livelihoods depend on our equipment, as well as timely back up and support in the field, therefore integrity of product and service is both crucial to our customers’ productivity, and vital to our business success.
For this reason, we have built strong partnerships directly with farmers in order to fully understand the different needs of their agribusiness operations; making our customers individual requirements our unique problems to resolve. We have also secured parts supply chains from several sources to ensure wearing parts are freely available, cost competitive and keep replacement downtime to a minimum.
SMALLER SCALE, BETTER RESPONSE
How does 4AG respond to the demands of the New Zealand market? The solutions come from a close relationship with our European suppliers, with regular trips to meet management and design teams and to inspect manufacturing plants.
4AG’s strategy is to source equipment from small to medium sized manufacturers, rather than larger global suppliers. These companies are more responsive and better able to adapt equipment design to meet the unique requirements of our customers back in the fields and paddocks of rural New Zealand.
SOLID R&D
We are the sole agent in New Zealand for Italian manufacturer MA/AG. Our 4AG brand is built on the quality of the MA/AG marque, with factory fitted modifications to our spec. Subtle changes in product design means that the 4AG product is continually evolving; we travel regularly to Italy to work with the MA/AG team. It’s a two way relationship: our market experience informs product design and drives further improvement.

Agribusiness in New Zealand is a challenging endeavor. Although fundamental business principals apply, the industry is subject to the vagaries of nature, compelling producers to adapt quickly to change, and to keep pace with global agricultural developments. These developments include issues such as increasing tractor torque and hydraulic capabilities, equipment working width, Increasing regulation of farming businesses, higher stock levels per hectare and intensified land use, water availability, nitrate levels and the need to minimise the environmental impact of agribusiness operations.
