Early Spring saw a visit to 4AG from one of our long standing European suppliers.

Ms Serena Ruggeri (owner and manager) and Mr Roberto Rocchetti (owner and head of product development) from Macchine Agricole S.r.L in Italy spent two days with 4AG staff as well as visiting clients.

The 4AG range of offset and tandem discs, chisel ploughs and soil looseners have established themselves firmly as the market leader in their categories, largely due to the strong collaboration between the two companies for the past 11 years! The NZ Design DNA throughout the 4AG disc harrow and chisel plough range, is the result of hundreds of machines operation throughout New Zealand, many in very hard conditions.

Regular discussion with the Italian design engineers, is why these machines are so advanced and suited to New Zealand conditions.

On the second day the visitors were able to travel to Hawkes Bay to speak with operators of the machines. This was a wonderful opportunity to get direct feedback from the machine owners, and is sign of how this supplier values the research and development here driven by 4AG and our customers.

"We milk 2600 cows in both North and South Islands, plus grow maize and various crops on 600 hectares of lease ground. We are constantly developing new ground to bring into production and the 4AG 970's are excellent for chopping up old, heavily thatched pasture and contouring rougher areas. Daily throughput is important to our size operation. so we're pretty happy to be averaging 3-4 hectares/hour!"
