Come and see us Fieldays

By | June 8, 2016

Come and see our full line of cultivation and seeding gear at Mystery Creek 2016 (Site L20, L22) including a number of exciting new models launched to market in recent months.

Every new machine introduced to the market continues the company’s customer driven design philosophy.

Contractors and farmers know when they buy a 4AG machine, they are benefitting from our New Zealand design DNA through being tried and tested over thousands of hectares, in some of our most rugged conditions.

Adding the design expertise and steel quality of our European supply factories, this winning combination means 4AG machines are a common sight with contractors and large farmers nationwide.

It is reassuring to machine owners to know their ideas are being listened to by the factory on the other side of the world. This feedback from the field is a huge part of the success of the 4AG brand.

Visitors will see the expanded range of the popular Titan® rollers and roller drills. Two models introduced in addition to the flagship Titan Profi, are the vertical folding Titan Compact and horizontal folding Titan Sidewinder.

These models (both available as roller drills) start at 4.5mtr which is a popular width for steep hill country or smaller horsepower tractors, yet still delivering the even sowing, and seed to soil contact of the heavier range.

The unique Titanloc® axle security system means loose rings are a thing of the past, and is a hit with machines working in a lot of stones.

Hercules HVR

The full range of 4AG offset and tandem discs will be on display (3.0mtr – 6.0mtr), along with the popular Hercules HVR 2600 3.0mtr offset, which is fast becoming NZs No.1 selling 3.0mtr offset.

It’s simple, rugged construction, full hydraulic functions, and serious value for money, make this a versatile tool of choice for many contractors and farmers for primary and secondary discing.

A new big brother to the HVR on display for the first time is the Hercules HRVP 3200 folding offset. With the same European quality and design, this model gives a 4.0mtr working width and the 4500kg weight needed for larger areas of primary discing, yet simply folds to 2.5mtrs for transport.

4AG are the true disc harrow specialists with models catering for a smaller farmer with 90Hp wanting to prepare maize or turnip fields, to the larger farmer or contractor working steep hill country, and thousands of hectares every season.

Many models feature the patented Terraflex® swivel gang bearing mounting, proven over the last 12 years in NZ conditions, also on display will be the latest Oil Bath option of the Terraflex bearing system.

For contractors looking to minimize maintenance time and costs, this recently released option uses earthmoving sealing technology, and requires no greasing of gang bearings!

The answer to soil compaction from animals or heavy machinery is the Supergrubber chisel plough. A popular machine with large-scale produce growers, many are now proving the benefits ripping deeper brings to soil structure and yields.

Bednar Terraland

On display will also be the Bednar Terraland which gives hydraulic protection of the legs for tractors in the 300Hp + category.

Bednar Swifterdisc

The Bednar Swifterdisc high-speed disc harrow, is also proving popular where operators are looking for a cheaper and quicker alternative to powered tillage for final seedbed preparation.

Designed for bounce-free operation at high working speeds, features such as front support wheels, and the new aggressive razor patterned blades, allow them to be used in many conditions, including steep hilly terrain.

"We milk 2600 cows in both North and South Islands, plus grow maize and various crops on 600 hectares of lease ground. We are constantly developing new ground to bring into production and the 4AG 970's are excellent for chopping up old, heavily thatched pasture and contouring rougher areas. Daily throughput is important to our size operation. so we're pretty happy to be averaging 3-4 hectares/hour!"
